Greg Deien, service manager at Deien Chevrolet in Trenton, announced recently that the repair facility will now be able to diagnose and repair most makes and models of vehicles thanks to the Snap-On MODIS™ scanner.
This MODIS™ scanner has the capability of diagnosing repair needs on over 30 makes and models of vehicles, dating back to 1979. “This comprehensive scanner will allow us to serve our customers more thoroughly,” commented Greg Deien. “We now have the ability to diagnose technical problems on almost any make of vehicle, and we couldn’t be happier to provide this service to area residents.”
Tim Deien, service manager, added: “We will also be better equipped to diagnose any repair needs for retail units before they hit the lot for sale. Our sales customers can be confident that the vehicle they purchase has been thoroughly evaluated and repaired, no matter what the make.”
Service technicians Aaron Eversgerd, Bill Workman, Ron Ripperda and Mike Singler have all been trained on the new scanner. Ripperda commented, “With the addition of this scanner and our training and experience, we can handle almost any repair.”
The scanner is equipped with troubleshooting software, component tests, lab and ignition scope, and a digital volt-ohm meter. The scanner can be updated through software to always have the latest vehicle information.
