 Greased Pig Contest Rules & Regulations Saturday, September 24, 2011, 1 p.m. Rules & Regulations: Age Groups: Kiddie Group, up to age 8 (will be a small, ungreased pig with a lollipop taped to its back – first to take lollipop is the winner; boys and girls together) 9 – 11 Years Old (male and female separate runs) 12 – 15 Years Old (male and female separate runs) 16 and up (male and female separate runs) Each contestant will be required to sign a Release & Waiver. Minors MUST have a parent or legal guardian sign the release AND be present during the event. Boys & Girls will be run in separate groups by age (except Kiddie Group). Boys will run first, then girls for each age group. (No more than 10 contestants per group). Pig and hands of the contestants will be greased. All contestants will stand around the inside edge of the fence. Pig will be released. Once the signal is given, contestants may go after the greased pig. The first person who gets the greased pig to the center of the ring is the winner. (Ten minute time limit for each group). First 20 registrants will receive an exclusive Greased Pig t-shirt. To be eligible for the t-shirt, entry forms must be received by September 16, 2011. Winners of each group will receive a cash prize. NO JUMPING In case of extreme heat, contest may be canceled for the welfare of the animals and the public. on the pig, NO LEAPING on the pig, NO TACKLING the pig. If any of these actions are observed, it will result in disqualification.
